Ondo South, No Time for Experiment: Vote Capacity, Vote APC’s Faduyile – BTO’S Vanguard

Today, the people of Ondo South Senatorial District hold their collective destiny in their hands. This is not just another Saturday; it is a day when the voice of every eligible voter will echo through the ballot box, deciding who will carry the torch of representation for this great district in the National Assembly. The bye-election taking place today, June 20, 2026, is a direct consequence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s appointment of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations. A seat of such importance cannot remain vacant for long, and the decision we make today will determine the quality of leadership Ondo South will enjoy for the remainder of this tenure.

As members of BTO’S Vanguard, a support group for the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, we are deeply invested in the progress and stability of our nation, starting from the grassroots of Ondo South. We believe in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu, and we know that this vision can only be fully realised when we have the right people in the right positions to drive it forward. That is why we stand firmly behind the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Dayo Faduyile.

Professor Faduyile is not a stranger to service or to excellence. A former National President of the Nigerian Medical Association, he is a Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine whose life has been defined by a commitment to saving lives and solving complex problems. He is a man of intellect, experience, and proven leadership qualities. When party leaders speak of him as the most qualified candidate to represent Ondo South, they speak not from sentiment but from a place of truth—they know that Ondo South has enjoyed robust representation under Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, and this is not the time to lower the bar. We must sustain that tradition of quality by electing a candidate of proven competence.

We must not allow apathy or indifference to rob us of this opportunity. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has assured us of a transparent process, with over 673,000 registered voters expected across 1,354 polling units in the district. The sensitive materials have been distributed, the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System devices have been tested, and the security agencies are ready. All that is left is for you to show up, cast your vote, and make sure your voice is counted. We call on every man and woman, every youth and elder, every trader and farmer in Okitipupa, Irele, Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Odigbo, and Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo to come out in large numbers and vote for the APC.

This election is more than just filling a vacancy. It is about reaffirming our support for the progressive ideals of our great party and our President. It is about demonstrating to the nation that Ondo South stands with the APC as we prepare for the 2027 general elections. As we have said time and again, we are not just voting for a candidate; we are voting for continuity, for development, and for a future where our children can thrive.

Let us conduct ourselves peacefully, as we are known to do. Let us be proud of our participation in this democratic exercise. When the sun sets today, let it be known that the people of Ondo South made their choice—and that choice is Professor Dayo Faduyile of the All Progressives Congress. Go out there, vote APC, and let your voice be heard!
